The formation of the New Forest Chamber Choir started in October 2011. It took until January 2012 for the final lineup to be established. The choir rehearses in New Milton on Mondays for just one hour each week (term time only).

“As usual a very moving beautifully arranged concert the highlights for me being the Children’s Choir, Henrietta’s wonderful voice and performances and some of the pieces by the New Forest Chamber Choir, the sympathetic organ / piano accompaniment and the lovely harp playing and watching the empathetic conducting by Alison, bravo. Highcliffe Castle Concert

Chamber and Children’s Choirs

The Concert is based on the theme of Love. It will be a fitting celebration for Mother’s Day as well (just the week before).
The Concert is a magical programme of stunning Choral arrangements - some pieces from Les Miserables - A Heart Full of Love, In My Life & Castle on a Cloud and the Choirs are also performing a tribute to the film ‘My Fair Lady’. Really charming.
There are also beautiful pieces by Mozart, John Rutter (who is our Patron), Bob Chilcott, Howard Goodall (who wrote the theme for the Vicar of Dibley), Will Todd and others - all very lovely pieces to listen to.
Performed by the award-winning New Forest Children’s Choir who won BBC Children’s Choir of the Year and the brilliant New Forest Chamber Choir.
Plus talented soloists.
It does promise to be a really lovely event - I’m sure you would enjoy it.
The Castle Pantry Cafe at Highciffe Castle has new management and offers delicious cakes and afternoon tea.
